COMPETITION AREAEnter the Gas South Convention Center through the Main Lobby and make your way down the escalator or elevator to the Lower Level.  The competition and awards are in Hall C & D.

  • $160.00 per gymnast for USA Developmental Program Levels 3 - 7, 8JN, 9JN, 10JN

  • $175.00 per gymnast for USA Developmental Program Junior Elite Level 8JE, 9JE, 10JE

  • Clubs will pay with one business check for all qualified athletes who will be attending at the conclusion of their state championship to their state chairman.  No personal checks will be accepted

  • The entry fee is non-refundable.

  • There is no refund for athletes once the entry fee has been paid to the State Chairman.  The only exception to this rule is for a Petition Athlete.

Individual awards will immediately follow each session. Athletes will be divided into equal age groups based upon the total number of athletes in each respective level/division.

Senior Recognition and Academic All-American Awards will take place at the beginning of each awards ceremony (if applicable).

Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport:  The busiest airport in the world is located approximately 35 miles south of the competition venue.  Plan your travel time accordingly.  Atlanta rush hour is every weekday afternoon starting around 2:30 pm and running until 7:30 pm.  I-85 northbound has heavy traffic so please plan accordingly.  Average travel time from the airport to the venue is approximately 45-60 minutes.

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority:  This is the principal public transport operator in the Atlanta metropolitan are.  MARTA operates a network of bus routes and a rapid transit system that can be used for getting closer to the facility. Please note that MARTA does not go into Gwinnett County, where the competition is being held, but you can take the train directly from the airport to the Doraville station using the gold line. A QR code will be posted at the competition venue with initial Rotation schedules. Rotations are subject to change.

Vendors/Souvenirs
Northwest Designs is the official apparel provider for the competition.  They will be on site at the competition selling the official event apparel made on demand. Come prepared to see some great merchandise.

Food Court
Located adjacent to Hall A.  No outside food or drink is allowed to be  brought into the venue.

Coaches Meetings: There will be a Master Rotation Sheet posted at the head table. All clubs will be required to highlight their club name at the top of the rotation sheet to confirm attendance. A minimum of one coach per club is expected to attend this meeting per session.

Rotations: Will be available to coaches only at the head table per session throughout the weekend. Coaches must strike through any athlete on the master schedule who is scratching the competition prior to the coaches meeting each session. Individual rotation sheets will NOT be printed and coaches should take a picture of the FINAL rotation sheet that will be taped to the coach’s table after the coaches meeting each session.

Check In & Credentials: When you first arrive you will need to visit the Registration area to sign the official USA Gymnastics Sign-In sheet. You will receive a credential that you must have physically on throughout the weekend for access to the competition.  As a reminder, for the Junior Developmental Program Regional Championships, clubs are allowed (1) coach per athlete with a maximum of two (2) coaches per club.  Additional coach(es) must apply for a credential by the conclusion of the State Championships and pay the appropriate fee.  Additional credentials will only be considered for large clubs within a session.  Late requests will not be accepted and there is NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION.  Coaches not pre-registered must pay the admission as published.

Coaches Attire:  Coaches are required to be in professional attire on the competition floor. Professional attire includes:

  • athletic attire such as a warm-up suit

  • polo shirt or t-shirt/hoodie with club/team logo (no sleeveless shirts)

  • athletic footwear (no street or dress shoes)

  • long athletic style pants or shorts (i.e. golf shorts. No denim style pants or cargo style shorts)

  • no hats

  • backpacks may not be worn by coaches on the competition floor

Format: Following General Stretch, athletes will line up at their first event for Team Introductions immediately followed by the National Anthem.  Afterwards, Flight A athletes will begin warming up on their first event while Flight B athletes will continue General Stretch. Once Flight A’s warm up has concluded, Flight A will begin competition on their first event and Flight B will warm up on their first event.

Rotations: The Head Table will control and announce rotations. Please do not begin warming up  or competing until you hear the announcement.

Open Workout: There is an open workout available on Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00 pm. This open workout is for Level 8-10 athletes only and each athlete must have a coach with them.

Hospitality & Coaches Meals: Coffee and water will be provided to coaches throughout the weekend at the coaches area located at the rear of the competition. There will also be a food court available run by the facility. No outside food or drink is allowed to be brought into the venue.

If your team has back-to-back sessions, meal tickets will be provided to pre-registered coaches.  These tickets will be provided at the Head Table.

  • FRIDAY: Lunch tickets provided between sessions FR1 & FR2; Dinner tickets provided between sessions FR2 & FR3.

  • SATURDAY: Lunch tickets provided between sessions SA1 & SA2; Dinner tickets provided between sessions SA2 & SA3.

  • SUNDAY: Lunch tickets provided between sessions SU1 & SU2.
